iam opening a bar and i want some names of best red and white wines, beers, whiskey and vodka, that i can serve and which people like. and what about cocktails, what are the most popular ones.

You need to do a bit more research before you open your doors.
Look at your demographics, are you in a boxed wine and Keystone type of environment, or will you need to have a "wine list" and fancy spirits.
Hire a bartender and take their advice on how to stock the bar based on the area that you are serving.

Good luck!
Will you be serving food?

  3. This isn't meant to be mean or rude but if you are opening a bar shouldn't you already know this information? Along with how to store and serve them along with many other things?

  5. it's allways good to have both, the expensive shit & the cheap shit, only give out the expensive when it's asked for, as in a absolute/cranberry to "i'll have a vodka/tonic" these fools get the cheap shit.

  6. I'm an Aussie, so I think our wines are the best (especially the reds). Check out Briar Ridge and Tempus Two…very special. As far as cocktails go, make sure you go for girly ones as they're your main demographic. Have a selection of non-dairy ones ( for the weight conscious) such as Cosmopolitan, Margharita, Flirtini (Vodka, pineapple juice & champagne)etc. Then add the usual creamy ones such as Toblerone, Orgasm, etc. Being a weight conscious woman, I'll avoid the cream ones. So scope out what the women are like in your area and go from there. Maybe check out some other local bars/restuarants. Good Luck!
